Biography: Tees Valley Youth Choir is one of the ‘Premier’ ensembles at Tees Valley Music Service and is currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary. They regularly participate in Music for Youth Regionals and Finals and have performed at the Royal Albert Hall. They are an excitable group and love taking on new music and challenges, singing a wide variety of music. The group is made up of talented members including pupils who work with the Samling Academy, National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and Youth Music Theatre. They are keen to welcome new members and are always looking for the next performance opportunity! The Choir rehearse weekly at Ian Ramsey CE Academy in Stockton-on-Tees during term time from 5.50pm-8.40pm. Currently they are preparing for their choir tour in April to Paris, where they have been invited to perform on the Videopolis stage as part of the Disney Performing Arts Programme. To continue their celebrations, the choir was also selected to perform on the BBC Children in Need Charity Single God Only Knows.
Last year they visited Llangollen for their first time. They had an incredible time and they made so many friends, some of which have kept in touch. And now they are very much looking forward to seeing us this year.
