Meinir Wyn Roberts

Meinir Wyn Roberts is a Soprano from Caernarfon in North Wales who won the ‘International Voice of the Future’ competition at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in 2015. After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music with a First Class BMus (Hons) Degree Meinir is currently in her first year of Opera School at the Royal Academy of Music having recently gained a Distinction in her Master of Arts Degree studies with Lillian Watson and Jonathan Papp.

Meinir’s achievements include winning the prestigious W.Towyn Roberts Scholarship at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 2015 and being a finalist competing for the Bryn Terfel Scholarship.  Meinir worked with Garsington Opera for their 2016 Festival as a part of the Alvarez Young Artists Programme where she performed in their productions of Eugene Onegin, Idomeneo and The Creation and recently played the title role in Handel’s Alcina for the Royal Academy.
