*UPDATE* 26/4/17: We are delighted to inform you that there is an Arts Council Wales grant available to help fund your visit, which could cover your ticket and transport costs. The ‘Go and See’ scheme allows schools to apply for up to £1,000, and will award up to 90% of the costs of the visit. There is some urgency required in applying for the grant, as it can take up to 6 weeks to be approved. Please apply here: http://www.arts.wales/what-we-do/creative-learning/the-all-wales-arts-and-education-programme/experiencing-the-arts/go-and-see
Join us at the International Pavilion where we will be celebrating our 70th Birthday in style! There will be plenty of music, dance, balloons and games to get involved with. Another highlight of the concert will be the delivery of the traditional Peace Message; since 1950, young people have sent out a poignant Message of Peace and Goodwill from the stage of the Eisteddfod during the Children’s Day concert. This year’s message will be presented by Ysgol Y Gwernant with a special Anthem of Peace performed by none other than Only Boys Aloud (Gogledd).
Hosted by CBBC Presenter Storm Huntley, the 50-minute music and dance extravaganza will be staged twice, at 10.30am and again at 11.45am, on Tuesday 4 July.
Throughout the day from 8.30am young Eisteddfod visitors can enjoy our international competitors, a colourful selection of children’s activities including dance workshops and street theatre featuring clowns, musicians and stilt walkers. There will also be music and dance performances on our three vibrant outside stages, and plenty of tasty food and craft stalls to enjoy.
Children £5 each. Teacher FREE with every 6 children
Gates open at 8.30am
