The Meadows

The Meadows are a four-piece sibling multi-instrumentalist band and they perform original songs and fresh interpretations of folk music, predominantly drawn from Celtic culture. Their concerts are an ethereal journey: a fusion of atmospheric, contemplative, emotional textures combined with high-energy, exhilarating music which gets people dancing. They have played charity tours including Wales Air Ambulance and Cardiff’s Velindre Cancer Centre, numerous festivals and events, Glasgow’s Celtic Connections 2016 & 2017, the Wales Millennium Centre, Twmpaths/Cèilidhs along with BBC and international radio airplay, and have been featured in press articles including Celtic Life International and Celtic Guide. 2016 saw them increasing their presence on the festival circuit with numerous concerts including The Fishguard Folk Festival, Eden Festival, How the Light Gets In, The Little Big Gig, etc. They have been invited to perform at a number of festivals in 2017 including Great North Folk Festival and the International Music Eisteddfod in Llangollen, their debut album is scheduled for completion early this year and they will be touring their new show ‘Celtic Journey’with Kristyn Murphy from Maine.
