The Llangollen Eisteddfod relies heavily on support from individuals and companies. Some give donations and grants; others give services in kind; some are generous with donations of food and material support. Our sponsors are particularly important to us. And of course, we simply could not operate without the large number of volunteers who work with us all year and particularly during the week of the Eisteddfod.

The Friends of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, or FLIME as it has become known, was started in 1974 by Michael Fay and other members of the Eisteddfod Publicity Committee to support the Eisteddfod. As a result of its work, donations have been made to the Eisteddfod's funds each year, allowing the purchase of equipment ranging from seats to computers, speakers to security cameras, and also supporting the archive project.
