Ymddiheuraf, does dim ar gael yn Gymraeg.

Country Representing:  Ghana

Town/ Place Representing: Ghana

Competitions: C5. Dancing in the Street (Saturday 6 July)

Biography: The Nkrabea Dance Ensemble is based in Ghana. We perform African traditional drumming and dancing, contemporary dances, folk music, acrobatic displays, fire eating, stilt dancing, etc.

The group has performed around the world and had won the Most Popular Group Award at the Sabah International Folklore Festival in Malaysia 2014.

The performance of the group is mostly dance-oriented and culturally contextualized.  Each dance is ceremonial and represents an African celebration, often showcasing or invoking certain colourful ancestral practices.

The costumes are as dazzling as the dances and lend authenticity and originality to the overall performance.  Beyond songs, costumes and dances, there are captivating physical feats that makes the performance of the group appreciatively dimensional.
