Biography: Sai Mayur and S S dance schools would like to present a joint collaborative dance project. Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest classical dance forms of India. Flexibility of Bharatanatyam framework lends itself to both traditional themes as well as modern day subjects.
The focus of Sai Mazur dance school is to build young girls into confident, joyful, young women, with an understanding of this truly beautiful, ancient, elegant art.
Mr Shrikant Subramaniam who has been performing, teaching and conducting workshops in Bharatanatyam for over 2 decades leads S S dance school. He is a passionate dancer and has worked his way through the evolutionary processes from performance to instruction to composition.
Together we would like to present a fusion of Bharatanatyam and Indian contemporary dance.
