A virtuoso double bass player, Grant Russell has played with an array of high profile artists including Chris Potter, Norma Winstone and Digby Fairweather, and won the award for best jazz interpretation at the Johnny Raducanu International Jazz Competition in Romania. He comes to Llangollen with three more first-rate musicians who share his commitment to jazz and improvisation, including a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music and member of the ten-piece Manchester Jazz Collective, Kyran Matthews (sax), George King (keyboards) & Luke Flowers (drums).
