Bax Choir is named after the esteemed composer and Heath Mount alumnus, Sir Arnold Bax. The choir is made up of 55 experienced choristers, ranging in age from 9 to 12. They have performed in the UK’s foremost concert halls and abroad.
They won 1st Prize in the Children`s Folk Choirs Competition and 2nd Prize in the Junior Children`s Choir competition at the prestigious Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in 2019. Also, as the highest scoring children`s choir at the Eisteddfod, Bax Choir was crowned `Children`s Choir of the World 2019` and awarded the impressive Owen Davies Trophy.
Bax Choir continued to rehearse online throughout lockdown, and collaborated with the legendary Katherine Jenkins, Marisha Wallace, and the London Concert Orchestra in June 2020, featuring as Children`s Choir in a virtual recording of `World in Union`.
