Biography: NEW Dance is the community dance organisation for north east Wales, funded by Arts Council of Wales.
Our remit is to offer people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to move and express themselves through dance, be it simply for the joy of moving, to improve confidence and self-esteem, for pain relief, to connect with others or to progress into further education.
We work in care-homes, health, social, criminal justice and community settings, in nurseys, schools and further education colleges, with disaffected or displaced individuals, with those who have special educational needs, with people affected by Parkinson’s Disease or suffering from mental illnesses to name but a few.
NEW Dance uses movement as a vehicle to encourage the people to explore, investigate and use their imagination around chosen topics to improve wellbeing.
