Young Choir of the World
As a way of celebrating the achievements of children and young people, we present our new Young Choir of the World competition (formerly Children’s Choir of the World). For 2025, each finalist from the Junior Children’s, Senior Children’s and Children’s Open Choirs category will have the chance to perform in this evening’s concert Wales Welcomes the World to compete for the Young Choir of the World title with a prize of £750; the most inspiring conductor will receive £200. Prize money and trophy donated by Dr & Mrs Rhys Davies in memory of their son Owen Davies.

4:30pm Parade of Nations – This is our annual spectacle where participating groups from across the world dance, sing and play their musical instruments as they weave their way through the streets of Llangollen.  Wearing their national costume and flying their flags and banners, the groups process through the streets to the delight of the throngs gathered to welcome them to the town.
