Wales Welcomes the World

03 July 2024 - Wales Welcomes the World

Join us as we welcome our international visitors, with a musical journey celebrating the rich tapestry of Welsh culture, featuring the soul-stirring melodies of folk band Calan, the elegance of royal harpist Alis Huws, the powerful harmonious voices of John’s Boys Male Chorus, and the Llangollen International Orchestra.

Calan are a multi-award winning folk band, comprising of four of Wales most talented virtuoso musicians. This concert will be a rare opportunity to experience their music performed in collaboration with an orchestra.

Alis Huws has been the Official Royal Harpist since 2019, and recently performed to a global audience of millions during the coronation of King Charles III.

John’s Boys Male Chorus was named Choir of the World in our 2019 Eisteddfod, and had further success in 2023, reaching the televised semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent.

This concert will also include our Celebration of Nations, the final of our Youth Choirs Competition, and an unmissable finale featuring all of the artists.
