Competitions: A6. Junior Children’s Choir (Wednesday 3rd July)
Biography: There are now over 120 members in the Youth Choir of Wales, under the guidance of our music director Mari Lloyd Pritchard and our accompanist Ann Peters Jones. Because the Choir has grown so much since its establishment thirteen years ago it has now been split into three Choirs – The Junior Choir, Côr Hyn Coda. The Junior Choir is a 45-year-old choir ranging from age 7 to 12.
The choir has performed on platforms such as Venue Cymru Llandudno, Pontio in Bangor, the National Eisteddfod of Wales with a range of Concerts across North Wales. As well as taking part in the Songs of Praise program.
The Choir has had the privilege of working with celebrities such as Bryn Terfel, Paul Mellor, Rhys Meirion, Lleuwen Steffan and Gwawr Edwards.
