Biography:
The Croeso Close Harmony Choir was formed in 1991. The purpose of the group is to sing in close harmony and unaccompanied barbershop, spiritual and traditional Welsh and English hymns.
The Choir have performed in many and varied locations from private functions like weddings, birthdays and other anniversaries in church and chapel halls or hotel reception rooms, community halls and theatres.
It fulfils charity engagements in hospitals, residential homes and hotels for the aged. It has provided music for the entry of the bride in weddings, signing of the Register, reception and after dinner entertainment.
Audiences vary in number from 10 to several hundred. However, the aim of the group is to provide entertainment suitable for the occasion and which allows the audience to have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
In 2024, the Croeso Close Harmony Choir raised around £2500 contribution to the National Eisteddfod in Pontypridd.
