Biography: Dawnswyr Bro Cefni is a Welsh Folk dance group that performs Welsh Folk dances, both traditional and recently composed dances in the traditional style. The dancers perform to the old traditional folk instruments of Wales –Welsh triple harps, fiddles and pigeon. Sometimes the guitar and accordion are also played.
The group was established in 2004 by husband and wife, Huw and Bethan Roberts from Llangefni, Anglesey. Over the years, Dawnswyr Bro Cefni has competed successfully in local, national and international competitions – the highlight being the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 2010 where the group won two of the traditional dance competitions.
