Biography:
The Folk Music Ensemble “Pervotsvit” is an instrumental ensemble group from Ukraine.
Created in 1991, the name of the group was invented by children. ‘Pervotsvit‘ – these are the flowers that bloom first in spring.
Currently, the group has about 80 girls and boys. Pupils study music literacy, playing folk instruments and singing. Pervotsvit are laureates of international and all-Ukrainian festivals and competitions.
Group Activities
The ensemble is the organizer of the folk music festival-competition “Golden Grain”. Every year “Pervotsvit” participates in festivals and competitions in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and finally – Llangolen.
The artistic director of the Folk Music Ensemble “Pervotsvit” is Mr. Oleksandr Lysych. The group includes talented and professional teachers: Ms. Nina Loiko, Ms. Olena Kaplunova, Mr. Ivan Danchylo, Mr. Pavlo Kosenko, Ms. Yulia Muravko, Ms. Kateryna Sidelnikova.
