Biography: Hymers College Junior Choir comes from Hull, East Yorkshire. The choir consists of children aged 10 to 12 who voluntarily wish to sing – there are no auditions. In 2013 a choir from the school finished Runners-Up in the BBC Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year competition, appearing on national television. This choir enjoyed a tour to Edinburgh in October, singing at Edinburgh Castle and St. Giles’ Cathedral and have been finalists in the Barnardo’s National Choral Competition for the last 8 years, performing at the Royal Festival Hall, London. In 2018, the choir were exceptionally proud to come 2nd at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
