Biography: Mirabilé Vocal Ensemble was established by the late Joy Nicol, and comprises auditioned singers. The group took part in both national and international festivals. In July 2016 Mirabilé was very proud to win the Female Ensemble category at the international Eisteddfod competition in Llangollen.
Our aim is to present a high quality versatile offering and our usual format is to perform a programme which contains classical music followed by a lighter contemporary selection. We have enjoyed presenting works from some seldom performed, classical female choral repertoire, as well as the better known pieces. On a lighter note, we have performed with the Zaporozhian Cossack dancers and have supported Blake during their UK tour.
