Biography:
Tim Eastwood is a folk bagpiper playing Welsh music on ancient Welsh bagpipes as well as folk music from England, Brittany, Scotland, Ireland and further afield in Europe on a variety of traditional bagpipes. He also plays Great Highland Bagpipes.
Tim plays modern traditional music as well as earlier music, with period costumes for re-enactment and living history. He creates music of the late mediaeval period, courtly music from the Tudor period and country dance music from the renaissance through to the modern. He plays ancient Welsh bagpipes, Border Pipes, Pastoral Pipes, Small Pipes, Highland Pipes and Uilleann pipes.
Tim has performed at both nationally and privately-owned castles, the National Eisteddfod, the International Eisteddfod, National Theatre Wales, Tattoo Cymru, BBC Radio as well as at many different civic, commercial and private events. Tim currently also plays with the folk fusion band Panedeni and mediaeval entertainment group The Whipperginnies
