Biography: Ysgol Pen Barras has a deep routed musical tradition and performing and singing is a big part of our daily life at our school. Over the years our choir has had a variety of valuable performing experiences in Wales and beyond. This year our Choir consists of 65 pupils ranging from 8-12 years old and we practice weekly with Mrs Sioned Roberts our conductor and Mrs Elin Owen our accompanist.
We have won the junior choir and the Cerdd Dant choir at the Urdd National Eisteddfod recently and have performed on numerous Welsh television programmes including, ‘Cerddwn ymlaen’, ‘Carolau Llandudno’ and ‘Dechrau Canu .Dechrau Canmol’ and Carol yr Wyl.
