My husband and I had an excellent couple of days there with both our children taking part in the different choirs. There was plenty of different types of food places available and lovely stalls to browse around. The main arena itself was beautifully decorated with colourful flowers. Also there were lots of very talented people/groups from all over the world who took part. Llangollen is a beautiful place to visit.
We are perpetually in awe about this Eisteddfod and what you guys achieve. Every year our eyes and ears are challenged by something new and this year’s Choir of the World finale was amazing.
What an amazing event. I brought my choir for the first time and was blown away. Why haven’t I been before? Such a truly joyous event and such high quality. And everyone was so welcoming. We’ll be back!!! Thank you to everyone who made this happen.
It has high choral standards and a wonderful atmosphere. People are very friendly and the organisers are fabulous.
The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is a magical place full of songs and dancers from all over the world. Everyone should go, just to see that different people do have a communal language.
Most wonderful experience! The most beautiful, friendly and welcoming people. Llangollen definitely stole my heart.
Different from anything else in the local area, some great live acts from around the world.
Beautiful setting. Great facilities. Chilled atmosphere.
Such good value. Tickets enable access to ‘the field’ with its variety of concessions, the outdoor stages, and the opportunity for al fresco displays of dancers, choirs and musicians. Over the two days we were there, we saw singers and dancers from Estonia, Slovenia, Canada, America, Zimbabwe, Singapore, to name but a few.
Our second year visiting…absolutely amazing, atmosphere, volunteers and weather were out of this world. This has to go on everyone’s bucket list to attend!
This is without doubt a ‘Must Not Miss’ event of the best of music, dance and choral teams from around the world competing for the prestigious ‘Best’ in each category. This year’s competition was an absolutely exceptional week with superb choirs, dance and music teams.
Easy to find and easy to park. Plenty going on aside from the choral competitions in the main pavilion. We highly recommend the outside stages. Plenty of eaterie options and the calibre of performers was both eclectic and exceptional.
A visit to the Eisteddfod is always a fabulous event, no matter who is performing. It’s great to get to the arena well ahead of the performance time, to have a look at the many stalls and watch some of the other free concerts.
Great festival, wonderful setting and really well organised.
First time of visiting this venue. Organisation was great, plenty of free car parking. The concert was brilliant from start to finish – great value.
It was fantastic to experience performing at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, amongst such a welcoming audience and picturesque setting. Singing live is always special, however the festival’s unique combination of location, high spirits and celebration of cultures made the event truly unforgettable for me.
Wonderful relaxed event – a choice of food from around the globe with a variety of music on different stages. Blown away by the evening concert from Alfie Boe.
Wonderful evening all the volunteers and staff very helpful and pleasant and a wonderful relaxing atmosphere we really enjoyed ourselves looking forward to the next time.
I so enjoy the Eisteddfod. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world, as far as I know. Patriotism offset by joy and friendship. It is so well organised too. Thank you! I love my annual visits.
An awesome festival for the whole world, it knows how to attract the finest musicians and the most talented dancers. No wonder they are much loved; even the parades are outstanding and fun.
It was a splendid day with a truly uplifting international feel to it. Parking was easy and free, and the whole experience makes me want to go again.
It was a good day, all participants around the world gave their fantastic performance in singing and dancing, plenty of food and drinks stalls, souvenir shops, plus an evening with Van Morrison. To all organisers, thumbs-up for doing a great job, see you again next year.
A very colourful, enjoyable, week of entertainment for the family. People from all nations visit the beautiful vale of Llangollen to compete in song and dance…It is safe to say that the entertainment and experience will broaden your horizons, and from nine to ninety there is something to suit everyone.
It was wonderful to see so many happy faces, and people from all parts of the world getting along with one another. Highly entertaining and in one of the most beautiful parts of Wales. I’d recommend it for everyone – we are certainly going again and again.
What a week. A feast for the eyes, ears and soul. Thoroughly recommend.
What a brilliant day we had on Saturday, sunshine, live music, dancing, culture, colour, and a whole world of joyful, friendly, happy people all together in one beautiful place, bought tears to my eyes & made my soul smile
An excellent opportunity to show your musical talents, to spread the culture of your native land and to see other magnificent music lovers from all corners of the globe, from all walks of life and of all ages! Llangollen for this week in July should be the cultural hub of the world!
A fabulous multicultural experience for everyone to enjoy. We need to pass more love on around this beautiful planet and the Eisteddfod definitely does that.
I love the Eisteddfod and everything that it stands for! We thoroughly enjoy the family day on a Saturday, so much going on, it’s a great day out.
A magical event that promotes world peace, international friendship, harmony, music and dance, set in a beautiful setting. For all ages. A superb event. Happy 70th Anniversary.
What a privilege to have this wonderful festival to experience. I couldn’t believe what amazing value for money my day ticket with reserved seating was!!!!
Absolutely brilliant day from start to finish, the talent in the evening concert was just phenomenal.
Just amazing! Never been before but can’t believe how amazing it is.
If there are any music or dance enthusiasts out there who have not yet experienced the Eisteddfod, DO IT, as there is something for everyone.
A bonus experience was to see around the town little groups of singers practising in the open air for their turn in the festival. Such a wonderful international atmosphere!
The event is so well organised. The main pavilion is breathtaking in size, with wonderful flower displays decorating the stage. The concert was absolutely amazing.
I was impressed with the Eisteddfod as a first time visitor. It is something we should be very proud of and has been the springboard for many including the great Pavarotti.
It is a truly international event with choirs and dancers coming from all across the world. The Eisteddfod celebrates bringing countries and communities together through their common interest in music and culture which overcomes any language barriers, making friends across the nations and countries.
An excellent day out to hear an international selection of music. So many different things going on, as well as the main pavilion. Where else might you hear Albanian, Estonian, USA, Welsh or Zimbabwean musicians (and many other countries) playing in a great location. Llangollen has plenty to offer as well, enjoy the local food… Read more »
Fantastic arena. Very well organised. Very happy atmosphere. Loved walking around the site. Looking forward to next year.
We took 50 children to the Eisteddfod for a school trip. The field had enough exhibits and stalls to amuse them all day, there were people in beautiful costume from all over the world walking the field and we even managed to get a picture with the amazing Bryn Terfel!! Inside the tent we were… Read more »
…The performance of choirs and dancers from around the world was wonderful with the Welsh male voice choir sending shivers down my spine…
The Eisteddfod has so much to offer for all ages, music, dance and so very much colour to be seen! It was wonderful to see the Parade of Nations on the Friday with groups from all over the world taking part – true cultural unity….thank you Llangollen!
In a time of unrest internationally it is inspiring to see people of all ages from different parts of the world engaging peacefully at this festival based on a shared love of music and dance.
Excellent concerts. Carmen was exceptional and Joules Holland even better. My 87 year old mum in law was standing up dancing.
…I enjoyed the culture of many different countries who entertained all ages. I recommend this to people who never have been before…
This is a must do in a lifetime for the music lover. Choirs from all over the world gather and perform at the highest level. The local people act as hosts and they are delights, so genuine and giving.
This was our first visit to this music festival but it most certainly won’t be the last. We bought tickets for the evening concert on 7th July 2016. We spent the afternoon at the festival and found it a great experience.
