Gwasanaeth Cerdd Ysgolion Gwynedd a Môn will be joining us on Thursday 9th July and will be taking part in the Children’s Folk Song Choirs. This competition will be held in the Main Pavilion.

Biography:
Gwasanaeth Cerdd Ysgolion Gwynedd a Môn is the Schools Music Service for Gwynedd and Anglesey.
They have a range of additional curricular Ensembles ranging from large groups such as their Youth Orchestra and Brass Bands to smaller ensembles such as their harp choir and saxophone choir. They also have a Music Theatre Group that produce excellent shows annually.
This particular choir was formed in 2023 to support the National Eisteddfod in Boduan, and have continued to wow audiences with their pure voices. The choir won this competition in 2025.
Their musical director and conductor is Mrs Gwennant Pyrs. Mrs Pyrs is a very well respected authority on traditional Welsh music and has a large catalogue of arrangements and original compositions for singers and choirs. She has conducted many choirs over the years and has a significant success record at a variety of competitions.
