Please note: Site open for school groups only from 8:30am.
The site will open for members of the public and ticket holders from 12.00pm until 10.00pm.
Your allocated seat will be available in the Pavilion arena for afternoon competitions from 12:30pm.

Children’s Day (Pre-booked school groups only)
An enjoyable day for children and an educational outing which meets many requirements of the National Curriculum; linking awareness of global citizenship and culture with a positive and memorable experience.
Competitions
The first day of competitions is not to be missed as children’s choirs take centre stage.
Please note that competition schedules are subject to late changes and we cannot guarantee timings. Each category adjudication takes place after the next competition i.e. A7 adjudication and awards are given immediately following the last performance of A8 and so on.
12:45-13:45
A7. Children’s Folk Song Choirs – This children’s choir competition is for singers aged 18 and under. They will be singing a programme of two contrasting choral arrangements of traditional folk songs from their own country.
13:50-15:00
A8. Junior Children’s Choirs – This children’s choir competition is for singers aged 12 and under. They will be singing a contrasting programme of up to 6 minutes, which will include an arrangement by a living composer.
15:15-16:00
A9. Senior Children’s Choirs – This competition is for choirs aged 12-18. They will be performing a contrasting programme of up to 6 minutes, which will include a work or arrangement by a living composer.
Children’s Choir of the World – In celebration of the fantastic standard of choral singing achieved by children and young people at the Eisteddfod, we have introduced a special trophy just for children’s choirs. The winner, chosen from the highest scoring choir from categories A7, A8 and A9, will receive an International Trophy and £500; the most inspiring conductor will receive £200. Prize money and trophy donated by Dr & Mrs Rhys Davies in memory of their son Owen Davies.
