
Emerging Artists & Community Day
In need of brightening up a gloomy day? We’ve got just the thing for you! From only £10, our last day of 2023, this is what we’ve got in store (and yes, that is former BBC Breakfast News host Louise Minchin who’s giving a talk and book signing tomorrow afternoon!):
In the Pavilion:
From 10am: Public masterclass with vocal head judge Martin Fitzpatrick
From midday: Voice of Musical Theatre 1st round
c. 2pm: Our first ever Dance Off + additional showcases throughout the day
6.30pm: Stars of Tomorrow closing concert with the 4 finalists of Voice of Musical Theatre (highlights on S4C 9pm), and performances from our top international dance groups: Mother Touch Zimbabwe, Dance Champion finalists Soul Oasis Trinidad & Tobago and Loughgiel Northern Ireland, and our 2023 champions Labschool from Indonesia.
On the Maes:
From 10am: choirs including Hip & Harmony, Bharatiya Vrund Gaan & Vocal Highs
Music acts: Lily Boughey, The Montagues, John & Ginny Folk Duo
For the kids: Diddi Dance, arts, crafts, circus skills, Xplore Science, our lego tent, origami and more
Something different: Poet Natasha Borton, Sound Bath session, Louise Minchin discusses her new book, ‘Fearless’; Driven to bring more attention to female stories of courage and endeavour, Louise Minchin pushes herself to the extreme and embarks on thrilling endurance adventures with trailblazing women, and our new community band competition.
We’re also hosting our new Around Town experience with Llangollen Fringe Festival, with loads of great free music popping up in bars and pubs!
