With a wonderful variety of ensembles from all over the world it is sure to get you ready for a full day of competitions. With Children’s Traditional Folk Dance, Children’s Folk Choirs, Young Voice of Musical Theatre and Young Classical Voice of the Future solo finals it is a day not to be missed!

INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE – COMPETITION D1
Consisting of atleast 3 members of any age, ensembles will present a programme of two contrasting pieces in any style or genre lasting up to 8 minutes. Ensembles can include any combination of instruments and can be orchestral, brass, folk, contemporary, jazz, wind, etc.

This competition is for groups under the age of 16. They will be showcasing folk dance traditions with a programme for 5 minutes from their own culture. They will have musicians and flag-bearers. Pre-recorded music can also be used for this competition.

CHILDREN’S FOLK SONG CHOIRS – COMPETITION A9
This children’s choir competition is for groups of no fewer than 12 members aged 18 and under. They will be singing a programme of 7 minutes, which will include repertoire of two contrasting choral arrangements of traditional folk songs from the choir’s own country.

This competition is for singers aged 13 to 17 who will be to performing a programme of up to 6 minutes of music. The Programme must include contrasting pieces from the classical genre and all music will be sung in the original language..

Finalists for this competition will be named following their prelim on the day.
YOUNG VOICE OF MUSICAL THEATRE – COMPETITION B4 FINAL
This competition is for singers aged 12 to 17 years who will perform a programme of up to 6 minutes of contrasting pieces from the musical theatre genre. All music be sung in the original language.
