Traders are as much a part of Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod as the performers.

With a host of shopping and eating places, the Eisteddfod site is open all day and night. It’s a great place to find unusual and desirable items and gifts.

After a two-year hiatus from live events, we are returning in 2022 with competitions, concerts and celebrations galore for our 75th anniversary!
Competitions will be held during the daytime on Thursday 7th – Saturday 9th July 2022. The main competitions will be held in the Pavilion arena, with field activities such as dance, talks and workshops taking place on our Outside Stages and various locations on site, from mid-morning until 9pm. Our annual Children’s Day event will take place on Thursday 7th July from 09:00 until mid-afternoon. This is a pre-booked event for school groups.
In the evening, we will be holding concerts in the 1,500 capacity Pavilion. These will start from 7:30pm and run until approximately 10pm. This year’s concert headliners include Aled Jones, Russell Watson, Anoushka Shankar and Manu Delago. The additional programming will have a focus on Welsh traditional culture and crafts, the concept of peace in a modern world, including talks and events looking at climate change, sustainability and the next generation of activists.
Our hugely popular Llanfest, which this year takes place in collaboration with Llangollen Fringe Festival, will be taking place on Sunday 10th July, details to be announced soon!
