Biography: CF1 is a mixed choir based in Cardiff. Since its inception as a Youth Association by Eilir Owen Griffiths in 2002, CF1 has developed into one of Wales’ most competitive mixed choirs.
Over the years, CF1 has had considerable success in the Urdd Eisteddfod; the National Eisteddfod of Wales; Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod; Pontrhydfendigaid Eisteddfod; Cheltenham Choral Festival and North Wales Choral Festival.
Over the last few years, the choir won the Mixed Choirs Category in the Côr Cymru Competition was named BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year, won 1st prize in the Mixed Choir category at the National Eisteddfod, first prize in the Popular Song category at the National Eisteddfod and won first prize in the International Choirs category at the City of Derry International Choir Festival.
