Biography:   The choir was founded in 2007 by its current director, Pär Olofsson, and has since appeared in many concerts. The choir has performed Benjamin Brittens ”Ceremony of Carols” and ”Saint Nicolas”,  ”Carmina Burana”, a full production of Andrew Lloyd Webber´s ”Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” as well as the beloved St Lucia concerts on Dec 13 every year. Oscars Ungdomskör has travelled extensively and has amongst other places visited the competitions in Gorizia in 2016 where we won a silver medal in the gospel/spiritual competition.
They are rehearsing once a week for 2 ½ hours. Oscars Ungdomskör is an auditioned choir for young singers between 15-24 years of age. The members live throughout the greater Stockholm area and participate in rehearsals, concerts and services in Oscarskyrkan (King Oscar´s Church) in the city centre.

They have been three times before in Llangollen and they are always hiking up to Dinas Bran. In 2015, the choir was awarded second place in the folk song category and third in the youth choir competitions.
