A year after its unexpected postponement, one of the most anticipated concerts in the festival’s history finally takes centre stage. Uniting Nations: One World returns to Llangollen in 2026 – a powerful celebration of peace, hope and global unity.
The evening features a full performance of Sir Karl Jenkins’s One World, conducted by the composer and performed by a remarkable international massed chorus drawn from WorldChoir, NEW Sinfonia, and the Covent Garden Chorus, alongside the Llangollen International Orchestra. Majestic, uplifting and deeply moving, One World blends Jenkins’s unmistakable musical language with themes of humanity, compassion and environmental stewardship – a message that resonates now more than ever.
The concert also includes a complete staging of Peace Child: The Musical, an inspiring work that places young people at the heart of the story, reminding us all of their vital role as peacemakers and global citizens.
Opening the night is a newly commissioned work for choir and orchestra by an emerging composer, written especially for the 2026 Eisteddfod. This world premiere continues Llangollen’s long tradition of nurturing new talent and giving fresh artistic voices an international platform.
A landmark event in the festival’s history, Uniting Nations: One World blends extraordinary artistry with a timeless message: that music has the power to heal, inspire and bring us together across cultures and continents. It promises to be an unforgettable opening to Llangollen 2026.
