Lok Rang International Folk Art Club will be joining us Saturday 11th July, taking part in the Traditional Folk-Dance Group competition. This competition will be held in the main Pavilion.

Biography:

Lok Rang International Folk Art Club are based in Punjab, India. They are a distinguished folk dance ensemble devoted to preserving and promoting the vibrant spirit of Punjabi culture through the traditional art of Bhangra. They were formed by passionate artists who share a deep love for their heritage, the group brings to life the colors, rhythms, and emotions of rural Punjab on every stage they perform.

Comprising 20 talented members aged 18 and above, Lok Rang showcases the authentic energy and joy of Punjabi folk traditions with precision, grace, and cultural pride. Their performances blend powerful choreography, traditional music, and colorful costumes to create an atmosphere of celebration that transcends borders and languages. The group is a proud member of the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF) and has represented India at several international platforms under its banner. They have achieved remarkable success, having earnt 2nd and 3rd place in the Group Folk Dance category, and continue to uphold the highest standards of artistic excellence.

In addition to their international acclaim, Lok Rang has also won numerous national-level competitions across India, earning recognition for their artistic excellence, discipline and dedication to preserving traditional culture. Through every performance, Lok Rang International Folk Art Club aims to spread a message of unity, happiness, and cultural harmony, embodying the true spirit of “One World, One Stage” that defines the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
