Sound of Folk Music and Dance Academy will be joining us Saturday 11th July, taking part in the Traditional Folk-Dance Group competition. This competition will be held in the main Pavilion.

Biography:
Sound of Folk Academy is a renowned cultural institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the authentic traditions of Punjabi folk dance and music. They were founded in 2012. They provide expert training in classical and folk forms such as Bhangra, Giddha, Jindua, Sammi, Ghoomer, Kalbelia, and Jhummar, as well as instruction in traditional instruments like dhol, algoza, and tumbi.
The academy has proudly won multiple international folk dance festivals for its outstanding performances in Jhummar, the original Punjabi folk dance, recognized for its grace, rhythm, and authenticity.
Many of their talented alumni are now working as folk dance instructors and cultural ambassadors across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany, spreading the spirit of Punjabi folk heritage worldwide.
