Rolando Villazón left the audience in awe following his first performance in the UK this year. The world-class tenor headlined Llangollen Musical International Eisteddfod for the first time on Tuesday night in a mesmerising classical gala.
In a week that promises an exciting selection of performances, Villazón followed Jools Holland’s sensational opening concert on Monday night.

Longstanding friend and performer of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Jools Holland wows the crowd with energetic performance on the festival’s opening night.
This annual festival promises another week of quality music from the likes of classical tenor Rolando Villazón, Gipsy Kings, and Indie group The Fratellis and it was fitting that the opening concert should be lead by Eisteddfod Vice President, Jools Holland.

Happy and Hydrated on Children’s Day!
The theme to this year’s Children’s Day is ‘Earth’s Little Heroes’ in celebration of the festival’s continued efforts to reduce plastic waste.
Children’s Day will focus on the environment and promoting a positive approach to recycling alongside campaign group, Friends of the Earth. To ensure the festival plays its part in caring for the planet, Eisteddfod is also teaming up with hydration partners, Aqua Optima.

In partnership with the Red Sky Tent Company, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is offering weekend festival-goers deluxe camping for Llanfest – its one-day music festival taking place on Sunday 7th July. The brand new Llanfest Boutique Camping Village will be offering deluxe glamping just a short distance from all the action on the festival’s Pavilion site in the centre of Llangollen, North Wales.
