Biography: SIFA (Sanjh International Folk Academy) is a Punjabi Indian Folk Academy, which provides quality training and high-calibre performances. Their performances have the aim to illustrate and preserve, develop and teach the traditions of Indian performing arts to other people from other countries. They provide in-depth, high quality arts training and leadership development opportunities for inner-city youth.
Founded in 2008 and registered in 2013, the academy had already the chance to represent the Punjabi culture in various countries. They have performed at many festivals, for example at the 48th World Congress On dance research in France and at the 11th Sabah International Folklore Festival in Malaysia in 2016. As well as the International Festival of Folk Art in Russia, and the Asian – African International Festival in Egypt in 2017.
