Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir

The Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir (VOSCC) was formed in 2019 by acclaimed Singaporean Conductor-Composer Dr. Darius Lim. Today, with over 440 members, VOSCC boasts one of the most comprehensive music choral training programmes in Singapore with a progressive system of both training and performing choirs. The choir has established a network of collaborations with some of the world’s leading children’s choirs, providing exclusive opportunities for singers to attend masterclasses, exchanges, and performances with renowned professionals from across the globe. About the VOSCC Concert Group.  The Concert Group stands as the pinnacle ensemble within the Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir, renowned for its exceptional singing at the highest level. Comprising the Concert Choir and the Choral Scholars, this group represents the pinnacle of choral excellence in Singapore. The Concert Group has earned a distinguished reputation through its participation in both national and international events, showcasing Singapore’s choral talent on the global stage. Notably, they have made history as the first Singaporean children’s choir to debut at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York, a testament to their exceptional skill and dedication. Additionally, their recent involvement in the Earthshot Prize Ceremony in Singapore, attended by the Prince of Wales, Prince William, further underscores their status as ambassadors of Singapore’s cultural and artistic heritage. The Concert Group not only exemplifies musical excellence but also serves as a beacon of inspiration, highlighting the potential and artistry of young Singaporean musicians on the world stage. About the VOSCC Choral Scholars The Choral Scholars Programme is a distinguished, invitation-only initiative within the Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir, tailored specifically for members of the Concert Group. Expertly designed to meet the individual style and needs of each singer, this programme is personally overseen by the artistic director of Voices of Singapore, Dr. Darius Lim. It aims to empower these exceptionally talented young musicians by providing them with customized artistic experiences and valuable connections, seeing them on a path to future success in music careers.

Where and how often do you rehearse?  Every Saturday at Voices of Singapore Capitol Studios.

Do you have any interesting stories about your group?  The Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir recently achieved a milestone by making its Carnegie Hall debut in New York during the summer of 2023, marking a historic moment for the choir.

Renowned for their exceptional skill and dedication, the Concert Group, the pinnacle ensemble within the choir, has notably made history as the first Singaporean children’s choir to debut at Carnegie Hall, showcasing their commitment to global excellence in choral music.
