Peace Message ‘Our World, Our Voice’ created and performed by local schoolchildren

Our inaugural Concert for Peace highlights the unique founding values of our Eisteddfod – a message of international peace, goodwill and understanding – that is as relevant today as it was in 1947 when it first began.

We are delighted to welcome Welsh Male Choir Only Men Aloud  with a bespoke ‘Llangollen-Special’ performance.

Only Men AloudOnly Men Aloud have won BBC One’s Last Choir Standing, a Classical Brit Award for Best Album of the Year, performed twice at The Royal Variety Performance, and sang at the London 2012 Opening Ceremony at the very moment the Olympic Flame was lit. For A Concert for Peace they will be performing a special programme of songs around the theme of peace.

The Parade of Nations

This uplifting and vibrant concert will also feature The Parade of Nations presented by International Eisteddfod President, Terry Waite CBE, Young Instrumentalist winner 2019 George Todica (pianist), the annual Peace Message written and performed by local schoolchildren, and the Rotary Peace Award.
