Alfie Boe in Concert

Legendary tenor and star of Broadway and West End performs songs from his iconic, chart-topping albums.

Alfie Boe will make a welcome return to the Llangollen stage to open our 2018 concert series. The Broadway and West End star will perform songs from his hit albums, showcasing his exceptional talent as one of Britain’s biggest-selling and best loved vocalists.

Born in Blackpool and raised in Fleetwood, Alfie’s musical journey has taken him from singing on the production line in a car factory to the Royal College of Music and the Royal Opera House’s Young Artists Programme, before achieving success on Broadway and a coveted Tony Award for his role in Baz Luhrmann’s revival of ‘La Boheme’. Further acclaim followed in the West End with Alfie’s powerful portrayal of the leading role Valjean in ‘Les Miserables’ that enraptured fans. More recently, collaborations in ‘Classic Quadrophenia’ with Pete Townshend and the ‘Together’ and ‘Together Again’ No 1 albums, tours and two TV specials with Michael Ball OBE demonstrate both Alfie’s versatility and ability to delight and entertain audiences.

Alfie will be performing a range of songs from his hits albums and will be joined by his ensemble of talented musicians. As Alfie charms us with his showmanship and joy of music, it promises to be an unforgettable evening.
