Korason are two musicians – Josh Doughty on kora and Tim Short on guitar; both from Wales, they have been playing together for 18 years since meeting in Mali. United by their love and respect for the Manding music of West Africa. Guitar and Kora were made for each other and with Tim and Josh this is an evolution of a music. Be it festivals, churches or international events their versions of Manding classics and their own compositions delight and beguile wherever they play and the chemistry between them is infectious. Proper feel-good music to which the late great Kora master Toumani Diabaté gave his blessing. This is an experience as much as a performance.
