A group of singers, including teens and adults from the Tiffany Lau Vocal Performance Academy in Hong Kong, formed Vocalisation. They have performed more than ten opera productions in the past decade, which include Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance & The Mikado, Nicola LeFanu’s The Green Children, Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Matthew White & Ana Sanderson’s Jack and the Beanstalk & Little Red Riding Hood, Helen MacGregor & Stephen Chadwick’s Snow White, Peter Maxwell Davies’ Cinderella, as well as Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, La Clemenza di Tito, and The Marriage of Figaro. Vocalisation, known for its diverse performances, regularly showcases its talent at Holy Innocents Church in Manchester, U.K., Ocean Park, Elements, and D-Park in Hong Kong.
The conductor of Vocalisation is Ms Tiffany Lau, a soprano who has received training at the Royal College of Music in the U.K. As the founder of the Tiffany Lau Vocal Performance Academy, she has been conducting opera choruses and children’s choirs, as well as directing opera productions for decades.
