Join us for a spectacular day in the Pavilion featuring our Adult Folk Song Choirs and the semi-final of the International Voice of the Future. In addition, we also present to you the solo musician competitions being the International Folk Soloist and International Musician of the Future. A day not to be missed!

INTERNATIONAL FOLK SOLOIST – COMPETITION B5

This competition is for instrumentalists or singers of all ages who will perform an appropriate programme of up to 6 minutes that is representative of a local or regional tradition.

Soloist’s taking part: TBC following the selection process mid-March

 

ADULT FOLK SONG CHOIR – COMPETITION A10

This competition is for male voice, female voice or mixed voice choirs of no fewer than 12 members who are aged 18 years or over. They will be performing a programme of two contrasting traditional folk songs from the choir’s own country, lasting for no more than 7 minutes.

INTERNATIONAL MUSICIAN OF THE FUTURE– COMPETITION B6

Soloists will perform a programme of up to 7 minutes of music. The programme will include contrasting classical works.

Soloist’s taking part: TBC following the selection process mid-March.

 

INTERNATIONAL VOICE OF THE FUTURE (SEMI-FINAL) – COMPETITION B1

This competition is for singers aged 18 and over, who will perform a contrasting programme of up to 7 minutes for this semi-final round. Their programme will include contrasting pieces from Oratorio, Opera, Lieder/Song and all music will be sung in the original language.

Adjudicators:

Semi-finalists for this competition will be named following their prelim on the day.
