Jodi Dancers will be joining us Thursday 9th July and Saturday 11th July, taking part in the Dancing in the Street, Traditional Folk-Dance Group and Open Dance Group competitions. These competitions will be held in the main Pavilion and Centenary Square.

Biography:

Jodi Dancers is an award-winning UK bhangra group based in the West Midlands, led by a passionate duo whose shared love of Punjabi folk dance inspired a thriving community collective. They are known for their high-energy performances and vibrant choreography, the group celebrates the traditional roots of bhangra while bringing a fresh, contemporary edge to the stage.

They have been the winners of Best Dance Group (2019, 2022, 2023 & 2024) and Best Bhangra Fitness (2021, 2023) at the UK Bhangra Awards, Jodi Dancers have established themselves as one of the UK’s leading bhangra ensembles. Their performances combine rhythmic footwork, colourful costumes and infectious energy that captivates audiences at festivals, weddings and cultural events nationwide.
