Biography: The Lindley School Choir is made up of pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 who enjoy singing together and taking part in performances throughout the year. Formerly known as the Lindley Junior School Choir, the group has been part of school life for many years and continues to give pupils the opportunity to develop their musical skills and confidence.

Over time, the choir has taken part in a number of competitions and events, including the Eisteddfod in Llangollen, where they have represented the school. The choir sings a wide range of music, from more traditional songs to modern pieces, helping pupils experience different styles and develop as singers.

The choir is led by Hannah Thomson, who was a member of the choir herself from 2007 to 2009. She is now a teacher at Lindley Junior School and enjoys supporting pupils in their musical development. Alongside her work at school, Hannah is also a conducting scholar with the Ilkley Choral Society, which supports her continued training and experience as a conductor.

The choir is accompanied on the piano by Head Teacher Emma McKenna, who plays an important role in rehearsals and performances.

The Lindley School Choir enjoys performing, learning new music and working together as a team. Their main aim is to continue sharing their love of music with others while building skills that will support them beyond their time at school.
