(English) Kidderminster Male Choir

Biography: The Kidderminster choir is celebrating its one hundred and fourteenth year of existence this year. Maybe it is true that they believe that they are one of the oldest continually performing choirs in the UK.

Throughout its long history dating back more than a century, since 1904, the choir has entertained audiences not only in the West Midlands but throughout the United Kingdom, and overseas like in Australia, Canada, France, Poland, Eire. The choir is in great demand throughout the UK. They also performed at the Llangollen-Eisteddfod Festival in 2015, a great day enjoyed by all. In 2017 they were awarded second place in the Brighton International Male Choir Festival, being piped by one point by Bournemouth Male Choir. 2018 saw the choir engaged to record ‘Lord of the Dance’ as the opening song to for a stage play which is touring the UK.

They are dedicated to entertaining through the Power of Song and they love to sing but also to have fun. As a charitable organisation they attempt to support others in the community with their charity work. They run concerts to improve fundraising for selected, specific charities each year.
