The Royal Buckley Town Band was formed in 1822 and is one of the few brass bands to use the title ‘Royal’, conferred around 1894, which they played for the Prince and Princess of Wales (later, King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra) and more recently, for HRH Prince Charles and HRH Princess Anne.
In 1985 the Band purchased the ‘Old Fire Station’ in Buckley and converted it into a purpose built, inclusive band room.
