Tickets, times and what’s on?

Do I need a ticket?

>>Yes, you do need a ticket for each event and to be able to come on the field. You can purchase tickets on the gate too but this is subject to availability and no guarantees can be made!

How do I book?

>>You can book tickets for concerts here, for day tickets here and for pavilion tickets here.

What does a Pavilion day ticket mean?

>> A Pavilion Day Ticket gives you full access to the grounds, stalls, outdoor stages, activities and a reserved prime location seat inside the Royal Pavilion to enjoy the competitions. Pavilion tickets expire at 7pm.

What does a ground ticket mean?

>>Grounds tickets gives you full access to the grounds, stalls, outdoor stages, activities and a non-reserved, non-prime location seat (first come first served) seat inside the Royal Pavilion to enjoy the competitions. Grounds tickets expire at 7pm.

What does a concert ticket mean?

>>Concert tickets give you a reserved seat in your chosen area or standing and also access to the field from 16:30.

What does a concert ticket mean?

>>Concert tickets give you a reserved seat in your chosen area or standing and also access to the field from 16:30.

What time do the gates open for the field?

>>Wednesday- Saturday: Gates open at 8:30am

What time do the gates open for the concerts?

>>If you hold a concert ticket you can access the grounds from 4.30pm.

Do you need a ticket for the parade of Nations?

>>No you don’t, the Parade is in Llangollen town and free to attend. You may also come back onto the Eisteddfod ground afterwards for just a £1.

How much is it?

>>The prices varies depending on the type of ticket. Grounds tickets are £12 per adult, Pavillion Tickets are £17, concerts start from £20 and Llanfest starts at £39.

What’s happening on each day?

>>You can see the full programme of what’s on here. Plus you can check the social media channels each morning for an overview of each day.

How can I find out who is competing?

>>You can find out who is taking part in the competitions here. Also daily by checking social media channels throughout the week.

How can I find out who has won the competition?

>>If you can’t be there for the announcement of the results, don’t worry! They will be posted live on social media channels plus on the website results page.

I want to bring a large group- who should I contact?

>>We welcome large group bookings, please contact us directly on 01978 862001.

Can non- school children come to children’s day?

>>Yes, all welcome at Children’s Day though the front seats have been reserved for schools.

Can adults come to children’s day?

>>Yes, tickets can be bought at the gate only for this and cost £5.

Can I have a refund?

>>Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunds made after purchase. Please note that duplicate tickets cannot be issued under any circumstances.

Getting to the Eisteddfod

How do I get to the grounds?

>>By foot the Eisteddfod is well signposted from Llangollen town centre. By car, the ground are just off the A5. Sat Nav users should use the postcode LL20 8SW. by train the nearest stations are Ruabon and Chirk. Read more here.

Is there car parking?

>>Yes, car parking is free on a first come first serve basis. There are also several paid car parks in the town of Llangollen.  There is also disabled car parking nearer to the grounds, available on a first come first serve basis. More info here.

Are the grounds far from the town?

>>The town is just a 5 minute walk from the ground and is well signposted- or you can follow the sound the music!

Can I leave the grounds and come back on?

>>Yes, you will be given a wristband as a day ticket/pavilion ticket holder. You may have to queue again and also may be subject to a search.

Are dogs allowed?

>>Dogs are not permitted on the premises with the exception of guide, assistance and hearing dogs.

Is there disabled access?

>>Yes, please see here for more info.

Can I take pictures?

>>Yes, but we ask that you do not use flash and that you do not interrupt the show for the other viewers or the performers. Also, by buying a ticket you have consented to your picture being taken and used by LIME.

What happens in the evening?

>>Evening concerts start from 19:30 Monday- Saturday with a variety of shows taking place.

Can I bring a picnic?

>>Yes, picnics can be brought onto site.

Can I bring alcohol?

>>Only alcohol purchased on the site may be consumed on site. Patrons are subject to searches on entry and prohibited items may be confiscated.

Are there refreshments?

>>Yes, there is a huge variety of food and drink stalls on the site.

What if it rains or there is bad weather?

>>Some of the events will take place outdoors and will take place regardless of weather conditions (unless deemed unsafe by the safety officer). We strongly advise that you come dressed appropriately for an outdoor event at that time of year.

>>Applications are closed for this year’s event but you may register you interest for 2020 here

Can I volunteer?

>>It takes 100s of volunteers to put the event on. Apply here to join the wonderful team

 

Llanfest FAQs

Can kids come to Llanfest?

>>Llanfest is not planned with kids in mind and there is no specific kids entertainment put on through the day. Under 16s must be accompanied with an adult. There is no concession tickets.

How can I buy a ticket?

>>Buy a ticket online here.

What time does it start/ finish?

>>The gates open at 13:30 with the first bands starting at 14:00. Subject to the day, Llanfest is expected to end by 22:30.

What time does the main stage open?

>>The main stage opens at 18:00

How much is it?

>>Tickets start at £39

Is there disabled access?

>>For accessible seating please call us on 01978 862001.

Is there accommodation?

>>Yes, as well as the huge array of accommodation in Llangollen, you can also go glamping this year just a small walk away from the site. Visit Red Sky Tent Company for more info and to book.
